24th November 2007 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: W-WNW Wind Stength: 25-10 knots Surf / Sea State: 2 foot messy surf Air Temperature: 10ºC Sea Temperature: 13ºC Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Grrr.... Loads of wind and rina in the morning and a meeting with a client so didn't get to the beach until about 11.30. Lots of wind, around 25 knots with 30 knot gusts so rigged the 5m and little wave board. First run was fine, just nicely powered with a few nice jumps. Gybed and came back but gradually ran out of wind all the way. Steve got on the water now and couldn't get going so I went back and changed up to a bigger board... Still not enough wind so back to the car to rig my 5.6m sail whilst Steve rigged his 6.2m. Back on the water and I got going so went on a mad run all the way to Borth. Gybed and the wind switched off again. wobbled / walked back to Ynyslas and had a nother go. Same again. By now I'd done too much walking so gave up and went home! |
